Let’s get you started with you EV Charging Journey

Hypervolt EV Charger

Hardware

The Hypervolt Home 3 pro EV charger is capable of outputting 7kW of power to your electric car.

This adds around 30 miles of range per hour, though this is dependent on what your vehicle can accept.

Hypervolt’s includes WiFi connectivity as standard so it can communicate with the accompanying smartphone app as well as receive over-the-air updates to add new features and improve existing ones.

It also includes a Bluetooth connection for the intial setup, helping to simplify the overall commissioning process.

The Hypervolt Home 3.0 is a “tethered” EV charge point. Put simply, this means the charging cable is permanently attached. The standard cable length is five metres, though you can pay for an upgrade to 7.5 metres or 10 metres.

Select from three colour finishes, including the futuristic Ultra White, Space Grey, and Ultra Black.

The Hypervolt Home 3 Pro incorporates a built-in PEN fault detection function.

This is a safety feature that also avoids the need for a separate protective device, such as an earth rod or alternative device such as a Matt-e, to be installed at your property.

This helps reduce the complexity of the installation and usually provides a neater result overall.

The Hypervolt EV charger is compatible with all solar installations meaning that you can charge your car with free renewable energy directly from the sun.

The Hypervolt EV charger comes with a three year warranty as standard.

The Hypervolt Home 3 pro, which is made in Britain, is unlike most other EV charger designs on the market currently. It has a relatively large profile, but manages to maintain a slim look thanks to its soft curves and clever cable storage.

The built-in storage area is at the back of the unit helping to “hide” the cable when not in use. This keeps the overall look extremely neat, while a holster for the charging connector is nice addition.

Choose when your car is charged. This allows you to take advantage of any cheaper rates your electricity provider offers, helping to reduce the cost of car charging.

Monitor charging sessions in real time as well as checking your history for energy used and estimated cost.

The Hypervolt app includes a remote lock feature. Although it’s unlikely, if you’re concerned about strangers “pinching” your electricity via your EV charger then this is a handy tool to have.
